how we helped a men's grooming brand grow email revenue 5.9x from zero campaigns, and got customers coming back for blades
Bumzzy makes a shaver built for the one place a razor was never designed to reach. It is made for queer men, and especially for bottoms, who want a close, smooth shave without razor burn.
In the 3 months before we started in 2026, Bumzzy sent no campaigns at all and email brought in 4.7% of store revenue. Growth came almost entirely from paid ads. Bumzzy needed email that could sell on its own and bring buyers back.

when the topic is one most brands won't touch, every email has to answer the question first
The Bumzzy customer has usually tried razors and trimmers already. He has had the cuts and the bumps, and he has real questions before he buys again, starting with whether it is safe back there.
So we wrote the way Bumzzy talks, openly and with humour. Every email answers a real question first, then sells. Shaver owners get a nudge when their blades are due, and customers who have sorted the shave meet the Zapper as the next step for ingrown hairs.

from zero campaigns to over a third of email revenue.
Within a few months we were sending most days. Most campaigns had one job: answer a question people were too shy to ask, like whether it is safe to shave there or why bumps show up on day 3. The sales sat around them, timed to payday, Prime Days and Halloween.
"FWD: CONFIDENTIAL (Do not forward)" was the biggest single send of the season, and "Your butt wrote you a letter" made the top 5. In our latest 3 months, campaigns brought in over a third of Bumzzy's email revenue, from a channel that made nothing before.
blade reminders that bring shaver owners back.
When Bumzzy customers come back, it is mostly for blades. Of the shaver buyers who placed a second order, more than half bought replacement blades, usually about 5 weeks after their first order.
So we kept blades in front of shaver owners, from a plain-text reminder to "how old is your blade?". Shaver buyers also get an automatic nudge when their blades are due. Replacement blades are now in nearly 1 in 4 orders.
