see what's in your audit.

2 minutes, from Bogdan.

Email Kong's free Klaviyo audit is a review of your flows, campaigns, deliverability and segments, plus your cancel flow and failed payments if you sell subscriptions on Loop. Bogdan, our founder, sends you what's leaking, a rough idea of what each fix is worth and the order we'd fix it in, and the report is yours to keep whether you hire us or not.

We've built the retention systems behind $59M+ in revenue attributed to Klaviyo for 140+ DTC brands, and we're a Klaviyo Master Platinum Partner, in the top 2.5% of partners worldwide. The audit is free because showing you the leaks in your own account is a better pitch than anything we could write here.

What you get

4 things land in your inbox.

01

A leak report on your own account

Every live flow, what it made in the last 90 days, what's missing and when it was last edited. The same for campaigns: how often you send, who you send to, and which sends made money.

02

A rough value for each fix

We use your own revenue, list size and order numbers to estimate what each fix could be worth, so you can see which ones matter and which ones can wait.

03

A fix plan in order of impact

The first things we'd do, the things that can wait a month, and the things we'd leave alone because they already work. If you run subscriptions, the plan covers your cancel flow, payment retries and subscriber emails too.

A walkthrough from Bogdan

Bogdan reviews every audit himself and walks you through it in a recorded video. You can ask anything, including how to fix it all in-house.

What we find

6 leaks we keep finding.

We went back through 10 audits we ran between March and October 2026 for brands that weren't our clients: DTC stores in the US, UK, Europe and Australia, selling everything from skincare devices to stone lighting. These are the leaks that kept coming up, with how many of the 10 accounts had each one. 61% of the brands that request an audit have already worked with an agency, so none of this is limited to DIY accounts.

Leak 1 · 10 of 10 accounts

A winback flow that's missing or barely earns

We found this in all 10 accounts. In 3 the winback flow didn't exist, in 1 it had been sitting in draft for nearly 3 years, and in the other 6 it was live but earning almost nothing or only reached customers in the first couple of months after they stopped buying. Customers who lapsed 6 months ago usually heard nothing at all. We check when your winback fires, what it offers and how far back it reaches.

Leak 2 · 9 of 10 accounts

Nothing useful after the first order

9 of the 10 accounts had no email in the 30 to 60 days after delivery, which is when a customer decides whether to buy again. 7 of the 10 had no shipping updates for in transit, out for delivery and delivered, and in 2 of them Shopify was already sending those events into Klaviyo with no flow attached. Shipping emails get opened more than almost anything else a brand sends, so they're a good place for how-to-use tips, a review ask or an add-on.

Leak 3 · 6 of 10 accounts

Deliverability problems nobody has looked at

We found these in 6 of the 10 accounts. If emails land in spam or Promotions, every other fix is worth less. The problems ranged from a brand sending from a free Outlook address to bounce rates nearly 4 times the safe level, unsubscribe rates nearly 8 times the safe level, a sunset flow that was switched off and a DMARC record set to monitor only. We check your sending domain set-up and DMARC record, spam complaint and bounce rates, how you treat people who haven't opened in months, and whether you meet Gmail and Yahoo's bulk sender rules.

Leak 4 · 5 of 10 accounts

Open rates that look great while almost nobody clicks

5 of the 10 accounts had campaign open rates of 50% or more and very few clicks or orders, with click rates as low as 0.1% to 0.4%. Part of the reason is Apple Mail, which opens emails automatically, so open rates stay high even when people aren't reading. In 2 of those accounts the "engaged" segments were built on opens, so thousands of people whose only opens were automatic kept getting every send. We judge your campaigns on clicks and orders, and check what your engaged segments are really built on.

Leak 5 · 5 of 10 accounts

Everyone getting the same emails

5 of the 10 accounts had no real segmentation behind their campaigns. Some only had the segments Shopify creates automatically, some sent campaigns unsegmented, and in 1 account nearly every send went to the same 297,000 people, whether it was a sale or a content email. That means buyers and people who've never bought get identical emails, and unengaged profiles drag down inbox placement for everyone. We check which segments exist, which ones campaigns actually go to, and whether buyers, subscribers and first-time visitors are treated differently.

Leak 6 · 5 of 10 accounts

Campaigns that stopped or never started

5 of the 10 accounts weren't sending campaigns regularly. 2 had sent 1 campaign or none in the previous 12 months, and 3 sent irregularly or went quiet for months outside their big sales. In 1 of them, campaign revenue went from $32,000 in November to about $3,100 in March. We look at how often you send, who each send goes to and what each one made.

If you sell subscriptions on Loop, we also check your cancel flow and failed payments. Our guides cover both: subscription cancel flows and failed payment recovery.

How it works

from access to fix plan in 48 hours.

Step 1

Send the form

Name, email and your Shopify store URL. That's all we need to start.

Step 2

Give us access to Klaviyo

We'll reply within 1 working day with how to add us. We ask for Admin access, because connecting our reporting and testing tools needs Klaviyo's API, which only Admin users can set up. We don't edit, send or delete anything during the audit, and you can remove us the day it's done.

If you run subscriptions on Loop, Recharge or Skio, we also ask for access to it and look at your cancel flow, retry settings and subscriber emails.

Step 3

We go through the account

Bogdan and our team review flows, campaigns, deliverability, segments, forms and subscriptions against your own numbers from the last 90 days.

Step 4

The walkthrough

You get the report and the fix plan, then we walk you through it. If you want us to do the work, we'll quote it then. If you'd rather fix it yourself, the plan is written so your team can.

Fit

who the audit is for.

It's a good fit if you are:

A Shopify DTC brand with Klaviyo already installed and a list you're sending to

Running subscriptions on Loop, or thinking about moving to Loop

Already working with an agency and want a second opinion before renewing

Heading into Black Friday and want to know what to fix first. To get our help with this year's sale, sign by 1 November

Doing over $2M a year in revenue, or smaller and growing. We take brands under $2M too

It's probably not for you if:

You haven't launched yet or don't have a list to send to

You're on another email platform and don't plan to move. If you are planning to move, see our Klaviyo setup and migration service

You want a list of general email tips. The audit is about your account and your numbers

FAQ

questions about the audit.

Is the Klaviyo audit really free?

Yes. There's no fee and no obligation to hire us afterwards. You keep the report and the fix plan either way, and plenty of brands use it to fix things in-house.

Do I need to give you access to my Klaviyo account before the call?

Yes, because the audit is built on your real numbers. We'll send you instructions after you request it. It takes about 2 minutes: in Klaviyo, go to Settings, then Users, and add us with the Admin role.

What access do you need, and will you change anything?

We ask for Admin access, because connecting our reporting and testing tools needs Klaviyo's API, which only Admin users can set up. We don't edit, send or delete anything during the audit, and you can remove us as soon as it's done.

How long does the audit take?

You get the report and walkthrough within 48 hours of us getting access.

Who does the audit?

Bogdan Mihalache, our founder, reviews every audit himself with our team. He's been running Klaviyo accounts for DTC brands for 5 years and Email Kong is a Klaviyo Master Platinum Partner.

What do you look at?

Flows, campaigns, deliverability, segments, sign-up forms and reporting. For subscription brands on Loop, we also look at the cancel flow, failed payment retries and subscriber emails.

I already have an agency. Can I still get an audit?

Yes. 61% of the brands that request an audit have worked with an agency before. Plenty of brands ask for one as a second opinion before a renewal or a Black Friday push.

Do you audit subscriptions on Recharge or Skio?

We run subscriptions on Loop and know it best. If you're on another app, we'll still review your Klaviyo subscriber emails and tell you what we'd change, and if you're thinking about moving to Loop we'll say what that involves.

Do I have to hire you after the audit?

No. If you want us to fix it, we'll quote the work after the walkthrough. If you don't, the plan is yours.

Is my brand big enough?

Yes. Most of our clients do over $2M a year in revenue, and we work with smaller brands too. The audit is free at any size.
